​Ashok Leyland Shines Big, Launches Another Bus in Saudi Arabia

Ashok Leyland, India's home grown CV manufacturer has launched the Oyster Staff bus in Saudi Arabia. It is the third vehicle out of Leyland stables to hit the bus market in Saudi Arabia during the last six months.

Rajive Saharia, President Global Sales and Distribution of Ashok Leyland, said, "We are launching Oyster in a phased manner. Our products are received well in the kingdom and it is satisfying to see customers coming back for repeat purchases. This stands testimony to our promise on better comfort, safety and higher profitability to customers."

The company's earlier launches in Saudi included the Falcon 56s, 66s School bus and Oyster midi-41 seater school bus. The current variant of the Oyster staff bus is launched in the 33 seater layout.

Arshad Pathan, Global Marketing Head for Western Auto, said, "Ashok Leyland products together with our strong after sales network is an excellent proposition for our customers."

Ashok Leyland has been growing by leap in bounds in the global CV industry. It has been a part of several successful international deals comprising of supplying buses, trucks and various other equipment.

The CV manufacturer had also won the Deming Prize recently, and had become the first CV manufacturer from India to have won the esteemed title. There is no doubt in the fact that Ashok Leyland is putting India, and India made products on the global map.
