Scania is a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India which includes buses, heavy trucks, and coaches. The company also manufactures industrial and marine engines. Scania, a Swedish company, marked its presence in India in 2007 through its partner Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in the mining and construction segments. The company has its production units in Sweden, France, Netherlands, Argentina, Brazil, Poland, Russia, India, and Finland, and sales and service operatives in over 100 countries. To boost its presence through sales to the on-road segment, Scania established the company Scania Commercial Vehicles India in 2011.
